Giacomo Gorini - Emilia-Romagna Regional Director
Giacomo was born and raised in Rimini.
He got his BSc in Biotechnologies from the University of Bologna and his MSc in Medical Biotechnologies from the University San Raffaele in Milan.
He then got his PhD from the University of Cambridge (Girton College) in collaboration with the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland, where he studied experimental HIV vaccines.
He then moved on to Oxford where he helped develop the covid vaccine of the University. After a brief period at Harvard, he moved back to Italy where he is currently planning his next move.
Giacomo likes to socialise, play guitar and lift heavy weights. He is active on Twitter where he informs the public on vaccines and viruses.
