Francesco Gagliardi - Tuscany Regional Director
Francesco studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford, then Management at Bocconi University.
He worked 8 years in Google managing Sales and Operations offices for Italy, Greece, Turkey and Middle East as part of the ads business.
Investor at Prontopro and Serenis.
Founder of Cascina San Boezio (www.cascinasanboezio.it) and board member of La Tenda di Gionata and Il Guado associations.
Specialised in digital marketing, strategy and leadership, formation of managers in both business and non-profit sector.
Giovanna Maria Dimitri - Tuscany Regional Director
Giovanna is a researcher at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione e Scienze Matematiche (RTDA), University of Siena, Italy, working with Prof. Marco Gori.
Previously she obtained a PhD at the University of Cambridge (UK), supervised by Prof. Pietro Liò, with the dissertation: “Multilayer network methodologies for brain data analysis and modeling”.
She graduated in July 2015 with an MPhil in Advanced Computer Science at the University of Cambridge, with distinction. She is a life member of Clare Hall College, University of Cambridge. Previously she received her master’s and bachelor’s thesis (both 110/110 cum laude) in Computer and Automation Engineering at the University of Siena (Italy), supervised by Prof. Michelangelo Diligenti.
She is lecturing the Business Intelligence course for the Master in Engineering Management (DIISM, University of Siena) since A.Y. 2019/2020. She is an associate editor for Neurocomputing Journal (Elsevier).
Her research interests mainly concern developing deep learning and machine learning models for computer vision and bioinformatics. She is a researcher within the Agritech PNNR-funded project, working on a novel deep-learning approach for food traceability and safety.
